We became witnesses of accident happened under our balcony. This accident gave us an opportunity to see how Georgian Police and other public services are working.
No one was hurt.
The participants are:
quite new Mercedes…
…and BMW that is a bit older.
People are quite angry…
But the police comes quite quickly (less then 5 minutes)!
They have to calm accident participants…
…and arrange traffic (lot’s of people slowdown and stare on damaged cars.
It is quite interesting that another accident happened on the other bank of the river!
The police has just started filling papers, but cleaning service is already here!
The cleaner drives pickup (probably to remove large car parts).
How many policemen are required to fill the parers for one small accident? 4 units 🙂
It means that 5 units of public services are already used. It is not enough! Let’s invite a fire-brigade…
They can wash the road! 🙂
6 units! Moreover, there was ambulance (it was not needed and left the field) and two wreckers (missed them while drinking a cup of tea 🙁 ). 9 units for a small accident! During 30 minutes they did everything: drawn car positions on road, removed cars cleaned and washed everything and went off the road to fill the papers!
Georgia receive 10 of 10 (comparing to other post-soviet-coutries) for pefrormance of its public services!!!
P.S., it is worth of notice that both accident participants will be fined (about 250 lari which equals 125 usd). It minimizes the load of police. People involved into small accidents are trying to come to agreement and remove their cars before being noticed by policemen.
One more thing to notice is the absence of insurance. It was planned to be introduced in 1st quarter 2015 but was not introduced as for now.
