Recently we had a chance to write about Georgian Police. This time we witnessed an accident in Turkey, Antalya. This article is about Turkish Emergency Services.
The accident is a quite usual. Late evening, people are in a hurry to get home… A bus was finishing his way across the road, and a small car started moving without left side check. The heavy and noisy blow delayed evening plans for all accident participants.
Crowd of people grown quickly. As people were injured in this accident, someone called for an Ambulance. Antalya Emergency Services proved themselves to be quick and well-trained. The first ambulance car reached the place in 3 minutes.
The victim wished to go on foot.
Two police officers came right after the ambulance. They checked another injured guy and helped him to get away of the car (8 minutes from the moment of accident).
Another police car arrived and started working on traffic control. First of all, they isolated the lane with orange cones.
Fire department came in 13-15 minutes from the moment of accident. The firemen checked that there is no job for their team and left away (there are a lot of cars using LPG that can be dangerous in accidents).
One more ambulance came for another injured person.
The police officer does measurements for an accident report.
Even though this second injured guy seemed to be more healthy, he agreed to be tied to a barrow.
Everything happens much faster then in Russia. In 25 minutes from the moment of the accident, the wrecker takes one of the participants away.
Turkish cops.
Another participant of the accident.
Wrecker’s driver covers spilled oil with some soil to remove it from the road.
The bus damaged traffic lights, a border, a tree and a hedge.
Wrecker comes for the second participant (30 minutes from the moment of the accident).
In 45 minutes there were no accident reminders. Just damaged border and traffic lights.
Road workers came to fix everything in the morning!
Good job! It is worth of notice that Turkish drivers are always pulling over to let ambulance and police cars go. Even in traffic jams. Also there are a lot of small ambulance stations and fire departments with only 1-2 cars in different parts of the city, so they can quickly get everywhere!
And even though the road was not washed after accident, Turkish emergency services get highest points as Georgian Emergency Services did.
