Among places to visit in Tbilisi, there is Georgian National Museum. It is located in the city center, not far from the Freedom Square.
The museum includes thousands of Caucasian and Georgian ethnographical and archeological exhibits. The exposition contains historical objects of Georgian culture from different epochs, beginning from Bronze Age and ending by 20th century.

The exposition begins with prehistoric times and a nice picture of an ancestor 🙂
It is not Louvre, of cause. But the museum has quite a lot if interesting things: vases, pistols, guns…
Jewellery is the most interesting part of exhibition for me. The poster is a bit creepy:
But it is not so scary inside 🙂 Small golden lions…
Horses…
Eagles…
Different earrings, pendants…
Some stuff for home and kitchen, brooches and statuettes…
Some more utensils, pots, a statuette, a hearth…
More sophisticated tools, like an astrolabe (the tool for calculating positions).
Some coins of different epochs.
Church and house models.
Egyptian hall with some stuff from Egypt.
Arabic items.
And a “scandalous” museum of Soviet occupation. Dark reminder of times when hundreds and thousands of people could be easily jailed or even killed. The most impressive item for me was the infinite list of executed people, including children of 12-14 years old.
