We are working hard on our articles about Tbilisi and Georgia. So this new article is about Tbilisi Botanical Garden.
It is located right in the city center. A pleasant place for a walk with several spectacular viewpoints to Narikala Fortress.
GPS coordinates for Garmin/Navitel: N41.687028, E44.809169
It is hard to park a car near the entrance. So you’d better start your journey from the foot of the hill and enjoy cosy narrow streets of Tbilisi. So we did. We started our way from the Sulfur Baths.
The Botanical Garden is located in the Tsavkisis-Tskali Gorge. So if you go on left, you can get into the lower part of gorge with a waterfall. If you go to the right, you’d get into the garden.
The waterfall is small, but very beautiful and calm (at least in spring, when there are no tourists).
Let’s go up!
The entrance fee is nice – just one Lari. That’s it! We’re inside a big and beautiful park with shady paths,…
…exciting views to the fortress,…
…comfortable pavilions.
Even in early spring you can find some bushes in bloom!
This stub is smiling 🙂
There is one more waterfall on garden’s territory…
…and several bridges across the river.
It is getting dark. Yellow lanterns lit our way with a mysterious light.
Before the garden closes, we went out to walk along Tbilisi in the night.
For those who loves blooming trees and flowers, we can recommend our article about Batumi Botanical Garden.
