We cannot imagine our life without adventures. And sometimes we’re intentionally searching for troubles fun… It was a sunny day of August. We decided to seize abandoned Lara Suix Hotel. There should be a perfect view on Antalya from the top of it!
The last feedback on hotel in Trip Advisor is dated by August 2012. And no wonder that this year was the last for it, as four positive comments are followed by twenty four negative! Currently the building is fully abandoned. Some windows are broken as well as furniture and other hotel stuff.
Getting in from the backyard through the broken window. We’re in a huge hall.
The place is very silent and dirty. It smells bad 🙂
The walls are still covered with reliefs and drawings.
That’s a beginning of our trip – a beautiful staircase. 15 floors to go (17 floors to be more certain – plus ground floor and technical floor on the top) 😀
The smell disappears as we go up. The stairs are barricaded with broken furniture from time to time. But it is not really hard to go…
That’s how an average floor looks like. Some doors are broken, some are in place.
One of the hotel rooms.
Bathrooms remained in quite a good condition!
Floor 15. We are almost there!
There are several big rooms with an exciting window view!
The fire escape is quite a scary way to go. Let’s keep going inside!
We did it!
An nice view on summer houses to the East.
The sea.
On-shore hotels.
Duden waterfall.
And Antalya Airport (somewhere on horizon).
Lots of impressive photos.
Several interesting panoramas.
On our way back we scared (and, to say the truth, were scared by) local hobo. It looks like he treated our loud steps as a police raid, so he took all his belongings and tried to leave the hotel unnoticed. And he almost did when met us on the ground floor.
The man stopped. I tried to explain that we are friends, we are not going to harm him in any manner and he is free to go, but my poor Turkish didn’t help. The man was standing still and staring at us motionless. When I startet speaking Russian with my wife, the stranger revived and said (in Russian): “What are you doing here? Entering here is strictly prohibited!”.
Then he asked us to forget that we saw him, because the police can catch us on exit. After these words he disappeared in the darkness of basement, and we escaped quickly to our car 🙂
