Georgia is famous for its ski resorts. We have already posted about Gudaury – one of the best resorts of the country. This article about another one ski resort located near Borjomi. This resort is smaller, but still interesting enough.
Bakuriani is a small and cosy ski resort. Pists are quite short and simple, but still interesting and picturesque. This resort is suitable for those who is tired with Gudauri and wants to get new impressions and for those who wishes to have a peaceful vacation with his family in a countryside.
Calm and peaceful doesn’t mean boring! There are a lot of opportunities to find some fun: ride horses, snow-cats or quad-bikes.

Bakuriani
- Season: December to March.
- Snow: natural, more then 60 cm in depth
- Elevation difference: 1780-2670 m.
- Facilities: hotels, cafes, shops, parking, ski rental, coaches.
- Ski-pass price: 1 day – 20-25 GEL (8-10 USD).
Pistes:
There are three skiing pistes in Bakuriani: Kokhta, Didveli, 25-meters.
1) Kokhta consists of two pistes: Kokhta 1 and Kokhta 2. There are chairs and t-bars for newbies. The complexity of pistes varies from “black” (hardest) in the top to “green”/”blue” at the bottom.
2) Didveli – there are chairs and cabins on this piste. One of the most preferable pistes.
3) 25-meters – piste for newbies. There are several t-bars and “plates” for children and beginning skiers.
